There are now only two months left to the first edition of the University Finswimming World Cup, which will be staged in Lignano Sabbiadoro (UD), at the Bella Italia Sports Village, on 1 and 2 April 2022.
The Organizing Committee and the CUSI are ready to welcome the delegations that will take to this very important event, which, for Finswimming, represents a rather significant step. The fact of having become part of the FISU world can only make happy all those who care about the fate of this discipline, which, in any case, has already had the opportunity to kick important stages, including, just to name a couple, those of the World Games and the Mediterranean Beach Games, of whose programs it is now part of a stable plan.
We do not yet have a precise idea of what could be the number of university delegations participating in the World Cup. Among other things, since this is the first edition, you can not even make comparisons with the past, in order to evaluate the trend of registrations. The certain fact is that, to date, the registered delegations are attributable to the following six nations: Croatia, Italy, Czech Republic, Russia, Spain and Hungary. The hope is that, as soon as possible, both the participating university delegations and the nations represented can increase.
